It’s been over 12 weeks since I wrote for my marathon in Eindhoven. Now there are only 9 days left until the big day.
I wasn’t sure what was going to happen from there. Now I’m clear about it. Despite several injuries at the beginning, I’m quite happy with how the weeks have gone.
Trainings carried out
The longest run was 36 kilometers in just under three hours. My best set session was five three-kilometer repeats that I ended up doing between 12:15 and 12:45 minutes each. In total, I clocked up 23 kilometers in that workout.

It is an incredible feeling to run in dark woods with a flashlight strapped to your waist. There is hardly anyone on the street at that time. You feel free and scared in equal parts.
Feelings and weather forecast

Now I feel fitter than ever in my life. That feeling of running long distances and not getting so tired anymore gives you wings.

I would like to be realistic but it will be difficult for me to predict what I will run
At best I can run 2:55, but if I get up on the wrong kuwait data foot it might be 3:05 or even much faster. The time I get out of it will be secondary. Running the marathon is the reward. The hard work is already done. I can’t blame myself for not giving everything to be 120% prepared.
I’ve given it my all. Literally. I wish I was as well prepared in other areas of life. It’s no guarantee. In the end, let’s hope I can make it through these last nine days without getting sick or injured. Knock, knock, knock…
